Produces CNC machines for optical manufacturing and lens processing.
SCHNEIDER
PRESICION OPTICS
Spheroline®- processing technology for the future
The
Spheroline of Schneider offers due to innovative processing center philosophy
different manufacturing concepts with high process integration and flexibility.
There are solutions available for a highly flexible manufacturing of small batches
as well as for fully automatic complete processing based on most modern tool
changer technique, and integrated automation and measuring technique.
The wide spectrum of precision optics, from high quality endoscope optics up
to highly precise lithography lenses of 500 mm diameter is covered optimally
by different Spheroline sizes along with the equivalent metrology.
Aspheroline®- turnkey technology for the future
In
the last years Schneider has put the main emphasis on the development of innovative
solutions for new production technologies in the aspherical field. The aspherical
grinding- and polishing machines with completely integrated aspherical technology
are the results. The newest innovation is a processing center for a complete
contour processing of aspheres with forward- looking production technology.
Due to a co-operation with QED Technologies it was possible to add the mrf-polishing
technique to the production line and makes it possible for the first time to
efficiently manufacture high precision aspheres in series. Modern metrology-and
net-work technique makes the Aspheroline a complete concept.
CNC Centering
The
CNC-centering machines of Schneider allows due to innovative machine- and process
engineering a highly flexible centering processing of high-quality optics in
the diameter range 5-260 mm. There are available machines with bell-clamping
method (type SLC) as well as machines for centering with an external waxing
on interchangeable spindles (type SLE).
OPTHALMIC
Freeform - production
After
numerous developments and innovations in precision optics Schneider decided
in 1994 to extend its activities to the field ophthalmic lens manufacturing.
The goal was to offer new prospects also for this field for future manufacturing.
It started with the development of new machine concepts to manufacture every
surface geometry in highest form accuracy and finest surface structure. Today
Schneider offers the complete range of machines to manufacture traditional surface
geometries with a minimum of working steps, highest process intergration and
maximal productivity up to production technique for high-quality progressive-
and individual surfaces.
The already developed machines and procesess are steadily developed into an
ultra-modern complete concept from cutting up to the final product.
Mould – production
Schneider
offers for the mould processing the whole range of machines for grinding, polishing
and edging of moulds and slumping ceramics.
Starting with the modern processing centers of the Spheroline range for a fully
automatic 2-side complete processing of spherical moulds including edge, chamfer
and sealing surface, up to high-speed-grinding machines for a direct manufacturing
of toric and progressive surfaces in moulds and slumping ceramics. There is
the corresponding polishing technique for both versions available.

TOOL SHOP
Schneider
offers to its customers complete advice and support regarding process engineering.
A wide range of high-quality tools as well as consumption materials are enclosed
in the offer. These choosen and modified tools to the different processes enables
an optimised use. Therefore the tool-shop offers with its qualified optic employees
a wide range of standard tools as well as special solutions for the customers.
The
complete transfer of the process-/tool development as well as the manufacturing
of lens specific tools and lens chucking systems serve as a further service
at Schneider.
